About The Team...

Leighbridge Under 8's are entering their third season playing in the Edge Hill League. We started with two teams Leighbridge Tigers and Leighbridge Lions, both teams played two seasons together for development with both teams having an equally good run, Leighbridge Tigers were able to finish fourth in their second season and Leighbridge Lions were able to make it to the Challenge Cup Final unfortunately losing 2-1 to the then league champions. Unfortunately the 2 teams have had to be split up due to age differences half going to Under 9's and half staying Under 8's, we are trying to create a team now that moves up together season in season out for development.During the summer break we had a big increase in children wanting to get involved in football and with this expansion we decided to create two brand new under 8 teams so it is with great pleasure to introduce Leighbridge Tigers and Leighbridge Ajax to our ever expanding club.

 

Latest News

All Players in the Under 8's all received a trophy for taking part in the Edge Hill League. With extra mention for players who earned Player Of The Season, Runner Up Player Of The Season & Top Goalscorer respectively. It is hoped that this year with continued development they can push hard for a league or cup trophy and continue to improve as a team.
